Neither I nor anyone I know has had trouble there, other than mechanical issues they would’ve had wherever they were.

We full-time live-aboard in our ExpeditionVehicle.
Our winters are with our caravan chums… on isolated Baja beaches.

The roads are horridly-awful.
Drunk gringos starting fights.
The people are rude.
No fuel available at any price.
Horridly-awful food.
Dirt and dust everyplace.
Beggers, thieves with badges, government agents carrying firearms.
Any restaurant or cantina will cruelly destroy your immune system.

You could, but it’s kind of windy there in the winter.
