Today’s visage is one reason we full-time live-aboard.
.
Oregon Highway 126, a designated ‘scenic route’ between coastal Florence and Bend-Over-The-Hill (…and on to Boise in Idaho).
After the snow clears on 126, Highway 242 opens through the lava fields for the summer.
.
Few travelers visit Highway 242 a second time.
It tends to make you feel small and vulnerable.
.
We boondock on vacant side-roads off 242, and often go a half-day between hearing a passing vehicle.
Can you imagine the silence.

And there are some who never come back because they ignored the maximum length restrictions and got themselves in a bad situation. 😀
Really great photo. Thank you
